Bruno Mars is de grote winnaar geworden van de Grammy Awards 2018. De Amerikaanse zanger ging er met drie prijzen vandoor. Hij won met 24K Magic zowel de Grammy voor het beste album, als die voor de beste productie en troefde daarmee onder andere Kendrick Lamar en Jay-Z af. Ook de prijs voor nummer van het jaar ging naar Bruno Mars met “That’s What I Like”. Daarmee bleef hij ondermeer Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee voor met de ultieme zomerhit “Despacito”.
Andere Awards die werden uitgedeeld gingen onder andere naar Ed Sheeran voor het beste solo optreden en Alessia Cara als beste nieuwkomer. De grootste verliezer van de avond was Jay-Z, hij was genomineerd voor maar liefst acht Grammy’s maar wist er niet een te verzilveren.
