Enkele voormalige CD Projekt Red-medewerkers hebben de nieuwe studio Rebel Wolves opgericht. Aan het roer van deze studio staat Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, die aan The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt werkte. Over het oprichten van de nieuwe studio vertelt Tomaszkiewicz het volgende:
We want to evolve the cRPG genre by creating unforgeable stories and stirring deep emotions, all while working as a tightly knit team united by a shared goal and ambition.
De debuutgame van Rebel Wolves zal een dark fantasy-RPG gaan worden die in de Unreal Engine 5 wordt gemaakt en zal gaan verschijnen voor PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S en pc. Jakub Szamalek (Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3) is de Narrative Director en hij zegt het volgende:
Our goal is clearly defined: to create memorable games, tell moving stories, and evoke visceral emotions. It’s ambitious, true – and I’m glad it is. Art needs ambition. I don’t want to create another game. I want to work on titles people will remember.
