Rockstar Games, de uitgever van de Grand Theft Auto reeks, heeft de meeste muzieknummers uit de GTA games op Spotify en iTunes geplaatst.
Voor de liefhebbers van de muziek uit de GTA-games is dit natuurlijk goed nieuws. Bijna alle nummers die op de radiostations in Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, San Andreas, Chinatown Wars, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories en Grand Theft Auto 4 worden gedraaid, zijn nu ook in lijsten beschikbaar op Spotify en iTunes. Niet alle nummers uit de GTA games zijn beschikbaar op de online muziek aanbieders. Dit komt volgens Rockstar omdat ze niet allemaal verkrijgbaar zijn op iTunes en Spotify.
Op de site van Rockstar staat een volledige lijst met links per zender uit elke game die verwijst naar Spotify of iTunes. Er wordt er ook gelinkt naar “The Advertising Council” waar geluist kan worden naar humoristische reclames uit de GTA spellen.
