Er zullen ditmaal wel 170 personages beschikbaar zijn om uit te kiezen. Dan begin je je toch af te vragen of de kwaliteit niet zal lijden onder zo’n grote verscheidenheid aan opties.
De Warriors Orochi-franchise mixt de twee grootste titels uit de Musou-reeks: Dynasty Warriors en Samurai Warriors. Het verhaal wordt als volgt beschreven:
