Charlie (Abbott) verlaat HBO’s Girls vanwege meningsverschillen over de weg die de show ingeslagen is.
Hoewel Charlie in de laatste aflevering zich nog in een vaste relatie stort met Marnie (Allison Williams), heeft Abbott besloten zich te richten op projecten buiten de populaire show van Lena Dunham en Judd Apatow. Een vertegenwoordiger van Girls geeft de officiële verklaring:
“[Chris] is grateful for the experience of collaborating with Lena, Judd [Apatow] and the entire Girls cast and crew, but right now he’s working on numerous other projects and has decided not to return to the show.”
Wat dit voor het komende derde seizoen zal betekenen, is nog onbekend.
